Happy Mother’s Day!

Your wife is not your mother, but if you have kids, you need to do something for your wife on Mother’s Day.  Trust me!

My lovely bride only asked for one thing – my home made BBQ Baby Back Ribs smothered in my infamous BBQ sauce – Dave’s Rib Mix. 

Well, I did her 2 better.

 I went to Orvis and used their $25 coupon for me and $25 coupon for a friend – both for her!  What wife in the entire world would not be totally thrilled!  I mean – really!!!

So, my goal was to buy her something she would totally enjoy (totally), get a lot of use out of, and something she would not typically “treat” herself to. 

In a blinding flash of the obvious, I captured the very essence of all husbands everywhere giving Mother’s Day presents to their wives – an Orvis Clearwater IV large arbor fly reel and Orvis Access Fly Line.

I could barely contain my excitement as I presented these incredible Mother’s Day treasures to the mother of my two beautiful daughters.

The result?  She was absolutely thrilled that I could read her so well and buy such spot-on gifts!  

But, unfortunately, she had priorities that would not allow her to take advantage of these gifts right now.  So, she told me to keep these treasures safe, but to make sure that they worked.  I promised that I would honor her request.  

She loved her Mother’s Day gift – and the $50 I promised her for a trip to the casino didn't hurt either!

And, this weekend, I start making sure that the Orvis Clearwater IV large arbor fly reel and Orvis Access Fly Line work as advertised – for my wife.
